Well the first info you got was correct, on 4th and 5th gen Accords, the rotor is basically trapped inside the hub which is pressed on. Sometimes called "hub over rotor" design. So because a stupid design by Honda, it'll take you hours and is generally a huge pain the ass compared to an easy job on the 6th gen (like 98CoupeV6 and I have where the rotor is outside the hub ("rotor over hub" design).
There are some DIY out there I think somewhere on the board. You'll have to either use a press or hammer back in the wheel bearing onto the hub when you put it all back together, etc...lots of PITA stuff.
