With the chip the guys says my redline would be 9000 rpm with top speed restiction eliminated. I'll definately go that route when I have the cash. It's a place called hmotorsports that sells Jdm SiR conversions etc.. check them out. I want to avoid alot of wheel spin at the line. gingas
Whoa whoa whoa.
Hold on a minute. You have more than just rev limit problems with the automatic ECU. The motor won't make the power it is supposed to with that ECU. It is more conservative than a manual ECU. What you need to do is find a PW0 manual ECU. That one won't be right. Also do not have your rev limit exceed 8500 with the stock valvetrain. The valvetrain is only good for 8500 and after that not only will you not be making more power, you risk floating the valves and seriously damaging it. Even if you don't take it that high it is very easy to miss a shift and hit 9k by accident. Mine has saved me many times with the nice 8200 cut off. You really don't need more than the stock 8200 cut off with the stock 5 speed ECU unless it's modified. Don't bother getting it chipped unless you need to get rid of the 115 mph limiter with the manual ECU.
