How old is the battery? What kind of battery is it ?( Example is it a optima or a regular car battery. ) A regular car battery deteriates after 2 to 3 years. Even if the battery comes with a 8 year warrenty . The manufactory only garrenties the batteries for 2 to 3 years from the time of sales. Also Why are you putting your foot on the gas pedal, you are more enlikley flooding the engine. try these 2 things the next time you start your car for the first time in morning don't put your foot on the gas pedal. turn the on and wait for 10 to 15 seconds. turn the key off and pull it out of the ingntion. then start the car. with OUT your foot on the gas pedal at all. The car should start with no problem . If the car cranks over and sounds weak in doing so then you need to change the battery for a new one from your local auto parts store. Ask for a battery with more COLD CRANKING AMPS . Your car more enlikley has a battery in it for last 5 years or so. plus the cold cranking amps are probably are 550 or so. Ask for at least 700 cca if possible.
I know I just went thru this problem last year in my 95 civic.
