Yeah, you can get lifetime warranty reman axles so cheap it's not worth messing with the boot, etc.
Tips...don't mess anything up.

It's pretty easy, here in Ohio you never know when something is gonna be nice and rusted up, but once you get everything off, it's not bad.
A big breaker bar and some taps with a mini sledge are best for the large axle nut (36mm on my 99, same for my buddy's '94), and it's easiest if the car is on the ground, so do this before jacking up the car, or have someone hold the brakes with power, that'll usually hold enough for you to loosen that nut.
