You do not loose 1.5-2 seconds from a launch. Apparently you are loosing 1.5-2 seconds somewhere else on the course - which means it's the driver.
Ask anyone dropping your clutch at 8000rpms compared to 4000rpms is not going to make up 1.5-2 seconds on an autocross course unless the course is like 10 seconds long.
