The OEM strut bar itself is solid however the ends of it are thin and held on my two small bolt. Not only that, but it is not even connected to the top of the strut itself. A strut brace is "designed to tie the two opposing strut towers together as a single solid unit" to prevent flex. Have you felt the weight of the stock bar. Very light compared to any aftermarket.

Neuspeed make bars that are primarily for cosmetic use. Hense the reason it comes in red and blue. These bars are not solid and are not as effective.

The type r is one of the best handling cars not because of a strut bar but because of the chassis and the spring shock setup. The integra over all is one of the highest potental cars for handling.

Ebay doesn't make parts. They are sold by other members in the form of an auction. So somebody selling a low mileage type r crate from japan at ebay that has over a 1000 feedback for $1500. You are telling me that its crap and that you would not be interested. Or even a DC sports 4-to-1 header
for $150. Yeah right. Yes you have to be selective but its not all crap. Just have to be carefull.
In conclusion
A solid bar is a solid bar. Any thin spots or crap welds can compromise the rigity. Brand really doesnt matter too much as long as it is solid. Many of the top brands for strut bars are sold on ebay. Are those crap too. I do understand that alot of crap is sold on ebay. I would never buy exhaust or intake or noname suspension from ebay when technology is involved. But why pay 200 bucks for a strut bar when most popular brands are not even solid. How much technology goes into a steel bar. It costs more to bore holes in a bar, have the name engraved or embossed on it, and then anodized in your favorite color. A solid peice of steel with welds and mounting rings is cheaper to make and a better choice. So whether ebay or not, don't waste ur money on cosmetics.
