I know when my brothers shop installed it, they asked me if I wanted the alarm to lock the doors on its own. Meaning I walk away from the car and without arming it from the remote it will lock the doors.

I had them set it up so that the doors lock when I press the buttons on the remote.
If I dont press it the alarm will still arm but the door locks will remain unlocked.
