well let see, I haven't been here much but.
1. F series is okay, if your goal is around 300whp, then it's fine, PROBABBLY you won't have to any much on internals beside a FULL HEAD WORK and a thinner gasket IF your leak test is good. A larger intake manifold + a custom turbo setup with custom fabricated Turbo Manifold can get you to that 300whp safely. Better fuel management, a guard box and the fluid dampener will do things nicely and are HIGHLY suggested if you want to keep it as daily. If you want to be SAFER, which is not necessary, new rods and piston. In my opinion, don't have to since you can replace the bottom for much cheaper than a full set of rods and pistons.
2. About auto tranny, you can rebuild them and have them bulletproof from companies such as
www.levelten.com. That and a torque converter kit + tranny cooler can be very expensive than a manual swap with new clutch, etc.
3. Also, if you want to be in the game, you need a lot of $$$ because things are always go wrong.
btw, to any of you who didn't know, there is an 8s Accord, a 2nd or 3rd gen I believe then there are couple 10s accord of which I know 2 are 5th Gens.
