The resonator keeps the intake flow quite. It prevents the engine from making the sucking-rumble that everyone loves from the CAI intakes.
Just remove the bumper...see
www.handa-accessories.com for foglight install on how to do this. Then just unbolt the reasonator. If you don't like the sound just bolt it back on simple as that.
