The first Odyssey didn't break any ground. The last model was the 2nd gen. It had fold flat third row seats, Accord-like driving characteristics, etc, which all combined to make it one of the most successful Honda products in history. Dealers were still getting MSRP for them 3 years into the cycle.
Go sit in the new Ody and drive it and tell me it's not a great vehicle...it takes everything the 2nd gen Odyssey has and improved them. Chrysler's 'stow and go' seats are a joke...they can 'stow and go' because they have absolutely no padding or contouring to them.
