VTEC-E is a fuel saving more economical version of VTEC...its like the opposite of the performance asspect you usually associated with VTEC. DOHC VTEC is the same as the SOHC VTEC, except it uses two camshafts to control duratioin and lift. One for intake and one for exhaust as opposed to the SOHC which uses one cam to control both functions.
so the sohc vtec isnt too bad performance wise then? just not up to par with the dohc right? i wouldnt mind settling for the ex model since it comes with the sohc..from what i hear though its worth the wait to find an si
