Well, I decided to take a stab at it and I got as far as taking the wheel off and then looking at a spindle of some sort that was in the way and I was like...do I cut it? Negative. I tried to trace ot back under the column but it was heavily guarded by a metal bracket that appeared to be welded. So I decided to stay with the airbags. Oh well, if it were meant to be it would be a hell of a lot easier to put in. Now my SRS light is on even though I put it back to normal, but I'll figure that out later.
