I went ahead and re-did it with a wet sand and prime. It came out looking pretty good for the most part, but you can still see minor flaws. I bought another one on ebay for $44.75 shipped. It was a brand new anodized blue DC Sports Billet Plug Wire Cover. Dude was basically clearing his inventory for the holidays and I got it for a fraction of what it is worth.
