I have a friend in the oil business and he said that all the wonder oils like ZMAX and prolong use chlorine which is really slippery but is very caustic and corrosive so it will cause damage in the end. He's a chemist I'm not, so that's about the best I can explain it. He also said Lucas and others like it put an additive that makes it really slippery. But just because it's really slippery does not mean it will stand up to the abuse and tempertures as well. He has shown me hard data and his data gives every little thing and the other oil companies only offer the most wanted data. He also says that a lot of synthetics are not 100% synthetics. He works for schaffers oil and still has awesome things to say about Mobil 1 and castrol oils. He says all the companies are not basically the same like people think. He says some of the most popular oils have the crappiest test results and he says some of the less popular oils stand up pretty well.
