yeah some of that and some of the fact that im not interested in going to a bar on a nite when your liklihood of gettin pulled over is at its highest, getting hit by another drunk loony is high, places are too packed.... and i have no interest in throwing a party and none of my friends are throwing parties.....
at any rate, IMO new years day is just another day where people wanna party in the middle of the week (or are going to anyway, on a weekend) but now they have an excuse.
