You are wrong on both accounts.

I dug around the site a bit and figured it out.

It's an LS1 with red painted engine covers.

Plus, the LS2 is a 6.0L and you can clearly see that's a 5.7L which would put it in the LS1 or LS6 range.

However, since I found pics with the Black covers it's been determined to be an LS1.

He flipped the intake manifold on the engine, and ran the accessories (alternator, water pump, intake, etc) all the way to the the front of the car.

Pretty insane...

This guy also has a 914 with an LS1 crammed in it.
