That would be a huge pain in the ass unless you can find a JDM SOHC ZC from a '92 body, then swap in an HF trans or something. Be warned, after droping about a grand to get it to work, you'll be left with a slug of a car. The only reason that Hondas have any pep is because they are geared tight.
Your wife is kinda a wuss... I know of a quite a few women who refuse to drive automatics!
