I believe there are other reasons as well.. It must have to do w/suspension geometry, and accomodating the thicker sway bar.

We all know honda is one of the most frequent users of the parts bin, so for them to re-engineer the rear suspension for no reason is not likely.

I guess we could start by comparing the two side by side.. lemme find some pics.
