im pretty sure it calculates mis fires, and if the misfire is off more than 30% it throws a code to your misfire sensor. Im almost positive you should never see htis light, and most people
replace their distributer when they see it.
personally, i reset my ecu and i was fine, but if oyu frankensteined your car, that might be the culprit.
