Also to whoever said its about the liters your wrong and plus most prelude swaps are the H22 and the accord motor is an F22 so that's the same liter amount. Plus the fact that the smog limits for the 2 engines is not that big a difference. I passed my 98 prelude motor under my accord limits.

And also you can pass a JDM motor is cali it just has to have all the correct US smog parts put on the car as well as a US ecu. Check around honda-tech there are a shit lot of civics that are running OBD1 JDM motors that are smog legal.

Okay, so an h22 swap for me is out of the question, but i was wondering about a different type of hybrid. I was wondering about the USDM f23 bottum/ JDM h23 head hybrid. If i keep the bottum end intact, then wouldnt all the US sensors/ecu still be intact also? I was thinking about doing a straight h23 swap, but their isnt a US h23 equivulant that i can use for the ecu/sensors.
