There are PLENTY of spas/salons/healthcare clinics here in York and the surrounding towns...the problem is that none of them want to or need to hire someone else, or they want me to have a clientel built up already..which i can't do when i have no where to build my client base.
It's something though right? Even if you do 1 or 2 people a week that's $100+ in your pocket that you don't have now. My friend does her massage therapy out of her apartment with a table she spent about $700 on. Yeah she still works at Lowes to pay for bills.
and McDonalds is still out of the question.

Then apparently you are not as desparate as you say you are. A job is a job whether it's at McDonalds or at Walmart. It may sound petty, but what's more important? Eating or starving? Paying bills or constantly getting calls from bill collectors (which ruins your credit history). You make it seem like it's below you.
My sister got away like this in high school. I was working at two places so I could save for college. One was a grease joint and the other place was a newspaper route. When my sister was able to work, she worked for one day at the grease joint and quit - saying she couldn't take it. So of course my parents didn't make her work and bought everything for her.
