could be but it wouldn't cause much burning....from your avatar I assume you have a greddy kit which means you are venting into the intake pipe. that means the oil would have to get through your compressor and all the IC piping to get burned. the compessor is probably hot enough to burn it and send it thought the piping though so that could be a cause.....do a leak down test and if that is ok buy a catch can they are like 100 bucks
