From what I've read cast iron manifolds are a USDM thing. Because in the US every inline 4 or 6 cylinder engine is required to have a cast iron POS. Why? I have no idea, but I know it's a restrictive piece whereas a header is designed to allow a smooth flow.
A lot of people have had this problem with thier Honda, but it's not Honda or Acura's fault.
