The reason that the 6th gen swap's can't be BAR certified is not because of the motor its because of the ECU all the P5M's have the immbolizer built in to them not allowing us to use the 97+ prelude ECU. I have this same problem with my 97 accord, I have been trying to figure out how to make the 96 prelude ECU work since it is the only OBD2 ecu without the immbolizer built in. And you can not use the JDM ecu since when they plug in the scan tool it won't look fro the correct US sensors.
Okay, so what about the H23 engine? Thats an accord engine from the same generation as my car (98-02) Could i swap that in?
And what kinda car gen/engine swap you got?

why? I dont see why that would make a bit of difference. And i think that the h23 is .1 liter lower then the f23's.
