I agree... but installing HID on every car would be a lose lose situation with luxary automakers who use that marketing strategy by saying that HID are still pretty exclusive...

But I see newer technology in lighting systems being produced..fiberoptics, varying degree LEDs headlights, single source lighting and others. Philips boards have alot of useful info.
