Default My Night Photography Attempts

Jumping on the bandwagon (I got a new camera, so I figured I'd try it out). All were shot at UCLA with a Sony Cybershot V3. All the lights there are high pressure sodium, so I set the white balance to incandescent. The camera seems to overexpose images, so I set the shutter speeds such that the exposure was between 1 and 2 EV less than what the camera thought was good, which seemed to give me better results.

First one: Outside hallway at Royce Hall (would look better without the Box Office sign)
Aperture - f/4
Shutter Speed - 3s

Second one: Powell Library (camera was tilted slightly - doh!), center looks ok, everything else seems fuzzy or overexposed
Aperture - f/4
Shutter Speed - 1.3s

Third one: Area in front of the Architecture Building
Aperture - f/4
Shutter Speed - 3s

It was raining, so i didn't get to shoot everything I wanted to, I'll probably try and head back out next week. Comments and suggestions would definitely be appreciated (I mean useful comments, not "you suck at photography" comments - I already know that). Thanks.
