Check engine lights are more often than not emissions related. A lot of times it is a bad sensor but it could also be another part actually going out tripping the sensor. It is usually found that an oxygen sensor has gone bad and run anywhere from $60-$120 for the part and are easily replaced yourself. Good luck.
