I would never dream of using this technique (If you can call it that) in any normal driving situation. I'd only use it if say i was out driving and somthing happened to my clutch so that it woulnt engage, or was very hard to engage, I'd use it to get me at least to a mechanic or back home. My friend was having some major clutch problems once, and his clutch would only engage if you pushed the pedal all the way to the floor. When it started gettin really bad, we had to drive to the mechanic without using the clutch.
