First of all this is a new unit.......secondly, the only difference between this one and the "newer" ones is the models number - EVERYTHING else is the same. If you don't want it, leave it at that. Thanks.

About putting it in a manual - Will it work, yes.......is it recommended, not usually. It will work in a manual, but just remember that if you leave the car in gear and start it, it will lurck, jump, etc. forward and could cause damage to your car (or something else). If you leave it in neutral you are fine. In other words it is a safety issue. I believe there are ways to ensure that the car isn't in gear, but then you are getting into a "custom" install.
