The Axxis metal master pads bites on the rotors harder, thus, improving the stopping distance. I changed my pads to Axxis when my car only had a few thousand miles on it and I never had a problem with warping or any issues at all. The noise level is the same, no squealing....just improved brake performance. At 40K miles and 5 years later, I finally changed to some aftermarket rotors not because my stock rotors were bad, but because I got a great deal on them and I liked the look (cross drilled and slotted). I forgot which brand of rotors I got but I've had it for about a year now and no problems yet.
