You don't need to tighten them much. Overtorquing won't ruin the gasket, but it can snap the the studs that the bolts go onto. Since the bolts have the little seals underneath them, you just need to get them until they are tight. I don't know the torque spec off hand, but once they get tight with a rachet, stop.
