I have the swap done and I love it, but you asked about the handling and it is not that great. Are will to scrafice your power steering and A/C because with this swap there is no room for either I don't mind my car is wicked mad fast. Just with the swap you will smoke just about anything but after a proper build there are very few cars that can take a civic with a H22.

A few things to think about: While the motor is replace the timing belt and tensioner and the water pump it will save you in the long run.
