Actually that's a pretty common scam as far as I've heard. My friend's dad, who used to own several businesses in Milwaukee, says people would give you a five and when you give them the change they say they gave you a twenty and you're ripping them off. That is why most places I have seen leave the bill in plain sight while they give you the change!
