I'd say put the old cat back in so the light is off, plus some of that emission stuff has a hefty fine if you dont watch what your doing so I wouldnt trade in a car with the cat modified anyway. You can get an obd2 redeader and deleate them but as soon as the car is started and runs for a little bit itll come back on.
