Default I am with you

I am doing the same thing over the next few days. So far I am not so sure I had to remove the center console. Just when I thought I was getting there I hit a snag. The section of plastic from the wheel to the glove box has proved to be a pain. So here is what I have done, maybe we can figure this out.

removed center console: four screws on back sides(I had to move the seets forward to get to them)
removed the rubber mat inside the console in order to remove one screw in the bottom.
removed the trim around the shifter(just used a small flat screwdriver)
removed the pannel with the lighter/power outlet buy removing blank in the middle of pannel and held my breath and gave her a good pull.
then removed the console by pulling up the parking brake, unlocking the shifter and putting into D
It is a pain to remove but it can be done.
this is where I hit a snag and it begain to rain on me so I have been driving around with no center console.

maybe this helps maybe not, let me know what you find
