well.... the remote turn on wire is supposed to only power the amp with the stereo on, not with the ignition. You dont want the amp on all the time if you arent even listening to the stereo. All it needs is a confirmative 12v power to tell that it should be turned on, not an actual power supply, that comes from the battery and into the B+ terminal on the amp. The speakers only get power when the stereo is on, so it was a perfect wire to tap the remote line into to get the signal.
