Here's my 2cents.. I really don't care if you buy parts that makes your car look fast (Rice).. pointless maybe but hey what ever gets you ladies or whatever the reason maybe for buying wings. everyone's goals are different.

here's an analogy: it's like muscles, some guys are actually working out for a sport (football), working their legs, pex bicips and so on. all of which will make them stronger, faster and more endurence. these guys can actually kick some ass (actually modded for performence) all the while they wear sweat clothes, not wanting to be flashy. while other guys just work certain muscles bicips / pex / abs. the stuff that looks good but don't actually make you hit harder or faster, it's just for show, (exhuast tips, wings altezzas etc..) and they buy nice clothing that show that part off, they just want the look. all the while, the jocks know they can beat down these "ricers." but if the ricers never fight... and never step into the ring... well, their goal is met (what ever that may be).

so my side is... (pretty gay analogy now that i think of it...) well.. i don't get why people hate "rice") altezzas? i would never get them because they don't look good to me. i think lip kits look good on some cars, they don't do jack for performence... i'm sure there's people who will pay extra cash for a bettter sounding exhuast that frees the same amount of backpressure.. the extra cash didn't do anything to boost performence.

i guess i can understand the other side too though.. if i were a surfer and was into it but all i see are a bunch of kids running around with all sorts of surfing gear and stickers who didn't know how to surf. they just like the image and it gets them girls. so the're posers... but if the guy admits that he doesn't surf? is he a poser? (ricer)

i guess, it comes down to... as long as the person knows it's just for show and doesn't say hes got a performence car, then it's fine. (notsaying that type S doesn't have anything which i havn't even looked to see if he did).
