well anyway i had a shop swap the pullys for 5 bucks and i installed it. works fine so hopefully it continues to work out. no it didnt come with a belt, the smaller pully jsut didnt leave enough tension, the auto tensioner only gets so tight, and the belt would slip during start up.

Alternator was an aftermarket form 4alterstart after some research it appears to be a common problem and from what ive read everyone jsut swaps the pullys.
