The bulbs rotate in the socket. You need to spin them 90 degrees in either direction, once it pops, then pull the bulb out and unclip it. Once it comes out of the housing you should have enough cable room to change the bulb, even with big hands. Or make your daughter do it, its good for girls to learn things like that.
