After reading some of the other replies, I gather that I was being a bit dense and that you are complaining about the RPM your car turns at a given miles per hour.

Unfortunately, it's a part of the car's overall performance profile that high RPM is a part of how we get that power and performance. Most ITR drivers wouldn't really mind a car that was turning 3000 RPM at 65 miles per hour, although that doesn't sound quite right for the typical ITR motor.

You could think about putting a GS-R fifth gear in your ITR transmission, as some people have, but you are affecting the car's ability to perform at high speeds, because the performance relies on the car's ability to use the high RPM momentum to get onto the cam quickly.

You might just have the wrong car for what you want out of a car.
