I have a rockford 1001db and a rockford 800.4 running in my civic with 2 caps. I am running a total of 1400 or so watts RMS. You need to make sure you are running 4 or 2 gauge to every connection. Electrical work runs in a ciruit so if you have any wires that are smaller that defeats the purpose of having any big wires. Also, mount your caps as close to the amps as possible, that helps. If you still have dimmage then you will need to recoil or get a new alternator.
