I used to be the same way, and still am to a point, but I am getting better. Most of the men in my family have served time in the military, one branch or another, and I was raised that way.

Being in the military was the same way and a lot of people thought that I didnt like them just because I didnt talk to them when I saw them, most of the time I just didnt know what to say, or very sure if they wanted me to talk to them.

Ask WCS, I didn't talk to people until I was introduced to them, and then still I let them dictate the conversation.

Since I am now out of the military and back home with a lot of parties and friends, I find it much easier to talk to people, especially girls. You just have to become comfortable in your surroundings, and everything else is easy.
