After about a year of going to the chiropractor my allergies/asthma was alot less severe and I could actually join track for the 1st time. And I agree with what Mandi says too about good chiropractors and bad ones - just like any doctor.
And to add on, if your back is out of alignment it's like cutting off circulation for your circulatory system (blood stream). When you cut off blood supply to that area of the body it will malfunction or cease to work. Your back is the same way, but instead of blood supply you have nerve impulses that go to different parts of your body. And the nerve impulses can get cut off or decrease in amplitude by the spline pinching a nerve.

What stopped you? My one massage instructor at school started school to be a Chiropractor before he became a massage therapist. He had to quit because of family problems. The Chiropractor that i go used to always try to talk me into going to school for it. I wasn't interested in it, but when i said i was going to school for massage therapy, he was thrilled.
And you explained that very well.
