So basically the other day I noticed my temperature gauge was higher than normal, so when I got home I checked the water level and I had to fill it up with about half a liter of water. So I checked the oil, antifreeze itself and all other signs leading to it being the head gasket but to no avail. Then as the car was running and I was looking around I noticed a steady leak of water coming from around the bottom of the timing belt cover(this happened once the car reached operating temp), now I was thinking this has to be something to do with the water pump as its there? Right? Do you think I should take off the timing belt cover and see if I can see anything there?
