I feel more peak power in the LS between 4500-5500 rpms. The redline is 6800, with hardly any power up top IMO. The B18 has a midrange powerband, and should not be reved that high unless you want to push a piston through a cylinder wall.
Taking that engine past redline from first to second gear is just retarded.
Peak power at 6800 nah, The LS head chokes itself at 6000 rpms.
