The campaigns themselves have made plenty of distortions, and if you look at factcheck.org I don't think you'll find an overwhelming proportion of the misleading stuff on one side or the other.
the difference is you don't see them on MTV, VH1, and on your street corners. i didn't see a christian music video spewing proganda against kerry nor have i seen bush supporters with picket signs at dangerous intersection distracting traffic.
