'terror' is the only way they feel they can get their message across. maybe lobbying the politicians in washington would be a better way to spend their resources, but thats besides the point. he's saying that the terrorist attacks were retaliations to american aggression, and that if we stop attacking them, they will stop attacking us. i absolutely do believe that, and i have believed it for some time. i admire bin laden's straight honesty with the american people, and his effort to remain non-partisan, since any endorsement of either candidate could result in them losing.
i'm not proposing any solutions to the problems in the middle east, i'm just saying that bin laden is a legitimate enemy, and does not lack honor.
on a side note, i am voting for kerry, but his response to this video did not please me.
Bin Laden reminds me a lot of Clinton...a great orator who can make you sympathize with him no matter how irrational his viewpoint.
His "honesty"? He's being "non-partisan"? This man has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. The fact that you sympathize with him or at least accept his viewpoint amazes me, and it doesn't surprise me one bit that you're a Kerry supporter. What's the next step, grant Bin Laden amnesty because it was
our fault that he knocked down the twin towers?
He doesn't have a valid viewpoint, he doesn't have shit. He has no excuses for killing innocent civilians. **** him and **** his organization, clearly he is afraid and running for his life and is willing to say anything to loosen the noose around his neck. I want him dead, and I want anyone that plots against our country alongside him.
I personally think
your opinion is extreme, if not insane. When I first read his speech I was somewhat humbled and began to sympathize with him...the man has definite power with his words. He is extremely smart, noone will deny that. But the more I thought about it the more I realized it was all bullshit...don't you remember his speeches about how America was the Great Satan and how Islam would take over the world and how all Americans would die? Now he's trying to actually get the American public on his side.
Go read some of his past rantings and ramblings...the man has done a complete 180, and he's obviously in fear for his life and the life of his terrorist organization. Bush is doing his job damn well, and obviously the effects of our brave men and women in uniform are being seen. When I first heard he had a new speech I was so scared it was going to be full of threats and the same sort of hatred he's been preaching for the past 20 years...instead I read an essay written from the point of view of a weakened man who had no idea that he would face the teeth of America when he decided to plot the deaths of tens of thousands of our civilians.
