does your motor have a rough idle. it so then you are a tooth off. if not the its time to think about you you didnt do right. Any machine work?? ohh crap, where are your pistons at. you should have atleast semi high comp pistons. little old bitty 9.0:1 aint gonna do it. this could be a problem. do you have a girdle and if not then are you revving to 8200 or not. also if you are how long have you had the motor put together.
