One team with a small payroll winning one year does not make a trend. It's simply an exception to the rule.

Baseball is boring as hell because there are a few good teams in the big markets that are perenially in the hunt and a bunch of other teams that don't do shit, the season is way too long, there's too many games where the same damn teams play each other, and the players are a bunch of overpaid whiney prima donnas.

The NFL has it figured out.
