just change the tranny fluid. every gs-r i have been in whines(and i work at a dealership, so thats quite a few).

its due to the design of the gear teeth in the transmission. they do not have an extreme helical cut to them, so they will make noise. but since they arent straight cut gears, they wont whine as loud as reverse.
